2002: I joined HDI.
2007: I became a local chapter officer. I was also nominated for and subsequently won the HDI Philadelphia Analyst of the Year award. Shortly after, I was offered a seat on the HDI Philly Leadership Council and within six months was vice president of the HDI Philly local chapter.
2008: I was promoted to team lead at CIGNA’s IT Customer Support Center, over twenty-six analysts.
2010: Life happened: I needed a change, so I left New Jersey and moved to Florida—with no plan and no job. In June 2010, a colleague from a trusted vendor, who I met through HDI, connected me with his Florida representative, and I was offered a temporary position with a large HR outsourcing company. After two days, the help desk manager provided her notice. Since I was already there, and I had HDI credentials, I was immediately offered the full-time position. I am now the manager of IT support services for TriNet, overseeing an IT department of 130 passionate individuals. Without HDI and the power of the passion of our membership and officers, this would never have been possible. For that, I am forever grateful to HDI!
