The
Speaker: David Peltzman
is the VP, Personal Computing & Support Services at GSK which is in the midst of moving to MS Office application hosted on Exchange servers, new office suite, Fiberlink. The service desk is a virtual asset to the migration.
After the Glaxo & SmithKline merger, David led the Strategic Enterprise Directory project.
He then went on to lead the End User Support group which consolidated 17 distinct Help Desks and organizations into one enterprise service. This group developed into the End User Advocacy group which included the Global IT Help Desk Services & IT Help Web Services, IT Incident Management Process (service & tool support) and End User Experience strategy & design.
In 2008, the Personal Computing organization was merged into David's team which included the technical design of the GSK personal computing environment and also the deskside support functions.
David holds multiple degrees in Computing & Information Sciences and has been a regular speaker on the topics of end user support.
