President Dana Olson I bring eighteen years of experience from various roles in diverse environments including education, insurance, marketing, and information management. I have ten years as an active practitioner managing help desks, three years providing consulting to small and large organizations implementing best practices for help desks and five years of training and curriculum development. I currently serve as a Project Manager at Creighton University. I serve on advisory boards and present at local and national events. I acquired my knowledge through experience and continued education. In 2005, I achieved my ITIL Foundations Certification and earned my ITIL Service Management certification in 2008. As an active member since 2005, I have served as the Vice President of Communication in 2006-2007 and since then as President. VP of Programs Nick Lerouge I have been involved in the local HDI Chapter since its inception 3 years ago, holding the positions of VP of Finance and Chapter President in the past. Over these years, we’ve seen our membership grow as well as our meeting attendance and being able to provide this collaborative network to our local community is a great satisfaction. As I entered the IT world 7 years ago and the IT Support & Service world over 5 years ago, HDI has provided me with tools to validate my knowledge, greatly expand this knowledge and offer me a network of peers that I can tap in for a wide variety of issues. I look forward to the continued growth of the Chapter by providing quality and meaningful programs that are aligned with the needs of this dynamic city that is Omaha. VP of Event Coordination Open for write in candidates VP of Membership Lisa Trudell I have been the VP of Membership for the HDI of Nebraska chapter for the last 2 years. I am currently pursuing my degree in Marketing Management at Bellevue University. VP of Communication Open for write in candidates Librarian Rick Shukert I have 7 yrs experience in the help desk industry starting out at West Corporation’s EarthLink branch as a technical support technician where I supported consumers with various Internet connectivity issues. After gaining some great experience from West, I moved to EMS Inc and worked my way up to managing a group of technicians supporting Motion Computing tablet PCs. What started as simple tech support evolved into WWAN procurement, Customer Care, and L2 support. I then took the next step and joined Planet Consulting to further my responsibilities and career path. At Planet, I currently manage a group of consultants working on the eBay/PayPal help desk and L2. Joining HDI has given me great insight to the overall industry and will help me improve our processes and procedures. I’m fairly new to HDI, joined Sept ‘08, but looking forward to expanding my knowledge and meeting new people in the Help Desk industry. Librarian Matthew Stebbins Matthew W. Stebbins (Director of Applied Information Systems) is a native of Gothenburg, NE and a 1974 graduate of the University of Nebraska at Lincoln with a BS in Agriculture. Through the Army ROTC he received a commission in the United States Army Reserves after graduating and upon completion of the Armor Officer Basic Course became a tank platoon leader in the 195th Armor Battalion of the Nebraska Army National Guard. In 1976, he resigned from the National Guard to become active in his family’s farm implement business. This business consisted of the retail sales of heavy farm machinery along with the associated repair-parts distribution and service repairs to the end users, which were farmers and ranchers. He trained in these three areas becoming familiar with how they were interrelated to meet the customer’s needs during their critical times of planting and harvesting. In 1980, he took over the general management of the business. In 1984, he bought the controlling interest of the family corporation becoming the President and CEO. He went on to grow the business into a two store location with 32 employees and $6 million in total sales. In March 2003, he closed the business with 28 years of experience in this area of agriculture. Stebbins accepted his most recent position, as Director of Applied Information Systems, with 21ST Century Systems, Inc. in August 2003. Web Master Open for write in candidates |
