1. When is HDI 2007 Annual Conference & Expo?

2. How many attendees will be at the conference?
  • Over 2500 customer service and IT support professionals will be at this year’s conference – the world’s largest support service event.

  • The Executive Connections package is an exclusive program designed specifically for the senior executive responsible for the strategic direction of their organization. 7. How can I bring my team? Are there group discounts?
  • More than 50 Fortune 500 companies bring their teams to the conference each year. To qualify for the team discount, purchase 5 conference registrations, get the 6th for free! Full Conference Value: $1495. To purchase bundled registration tickets please call our customer service center at (800) 248-5667 or use our online registration system to secure your space today.
8. What meals are included in my registration fee?
  • Continental Breakfast (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)
    Lunch (Tuesday, Wednesday)
    Morning and Afternoon Beverage Breaks

    PURE Conference Party (Wednesday)
9. What are your payment/cancellation policies?
  • Payment Information
    HDI accepts Visa, MasterCard or American Express for conference payment. Billing is also available and invoices are payable upon receipt. Pre-payment (or a federal government purchase order) is required prior to conference attendance.

    Cancellation Policy:
    All cancellations must be made in writing. You may cancel without penalty until March 23, 2007, after which a $150 cancellation will be charged. Cancellations after April 13, 2007 or no shows will be charged the full conference rate.

10. How can I tell you about my special physical/dietary needs?
  • Vegetarian meals/items will be available at all conference food functions. If you have additional physical or dietary needs that need to be addressed, please call (719) 268-0307 prior to April 15th and we will be happy to try to accommodate your request.
11. Can I send someone in my place, if I can no longer attend?
  • Yes, you may substitute at any time before receiving your conference materials on-site. If possible, knowing the replacement’s name, title and address prior to attending the conference helps facilitate a smooth registration substitution.
12. I am an HDI member, are there any membership discounts?
  • Yes, all HDI members receive $100 discount off the conference registration fee.
13. I’ve attended in the past, are there any alumni discounts?
  • Yes, alumni to any HDI conference receive an alumni discount of $100.
14. Is there an early bird discount?
  • Yes, register by February 15, 2007 and you receive $100 off the conference registration fee.
15. Can I apply any discounts to a pre-conference workshop?
  • Discounts may only be applied to the Core Conference or Executive Registration Packages.
16. Can I bring a guest to any of the receptions or parties?
  • Guest tickets for conference receptions will be available on-site at the HDI registration booth based upon availability. Welcome Reception tickets are available for $50.00/person. Conference party tickets are available for $100.00/person.
17. Can I bring a guest to any sessions or keynotes?
  • Only registered conference participants will be allowed to attend conference sessions or keynote presentations.
18. Can I bring a guest or buy a ticket to the Dennis Miller performance on Monday evening?
  • Because Dennis Miller is part of the conference program, only registered conference participants will be allowed to attend this session.
19. Can I purchase a 1-day pass to the conference?
  • 1-day passes are not available for this conference. You must purchase the entire conference package in order to attend the event.
20. Where do I go to collect my badge and registration materials on-site?
  • Conference registration will be located in the North Convention Center, Lower Level of the Mandalay Bay Hotel.
21. When will on-site registration be available?
  • The on-site registration/information booth will be open during the following hours:
    • Saturday, April 28th from 7:00am to 8:00am
    • Sunday, April 29th from 7:00am to 8:00am and from 3:00pm to 6:00pm
    • Monday, April 30th – Wednesday, May 2nd from 7:00am to 6:00pm
    • Thursday, May 3rd from 7:30am to 12:30pm.
22. What materials will I receive as part of my registration?
  • Conference attendees will receive:
    • A conference bag designed to hold your conference materials
    • Proceedings Manual (all conference handouts);
    • Program & Exhibitor Guide (a complete listing of all sessions and exhibitors at the event);
    • Pocket Guide (schedule at a glance);
    • Conference Badge (entrance into all conference keynotes, sessions, expo and receptions)
    • Conference/Reception Meal tickets

24. What should I wear to attend the conference?
  • Business casual.
  • Dress comfortably and casually to enjoy this roll-up-your-sleeves conference.
25. Are you offering a special conference room rate? How do I make a reservation? How long will rooms be available?
  • Special conference rates have been reserved for this event at:
    The Mandalay Bay Resort - $209 single/double occupancy
    THEhotel: (all-suites portion of the Mandalay Bay): $269 single/double occupancy
  • Please call 877.632.7000 and reference the HDI2007 Annual Conference. Hotel rooms are expected to sell out before the cut-off date – please reserve as soon as possible. The conference rates will be available until April 4, 2007 or until the rooms sell out. You may also reserve your hotel room online by visiting, http://www.thinkhdi.com/hdi2007/hotelinfo.aspx
26. Does the hotel have wireless internet access?
  • High-speed/Wireless Internet access in guest rooms is available for $11.00 per day. The conference will be offering a cyber café which will allow you to access your email and the web using the computer units provided. The conference will not be offering wireless access in the meeting area for personal laptops.
27. Does the hotel have free parking?
  • Both valet and self-parking are complimentary.
28. What is the weather like?
  • May average temperature is 85 during the day with a low of 52 in the evening.
29. Does the hotel have work out facilities?
  • Yes, work-out facilities are available for $35 per day.
30. How far is the hotel from the airport?
  • The hotel is approximately 10-15 minutes from the airport. Taxi fare is approximately $15.
31. Does the hotel offer government rates?
  • The Mandalay Bay resort does not offer government rates. Please contact our customer service center at 800-248-5667 for hotel recommendations for government employees.
32. What kind of meals are served?

  • There are approximately 20 restaurants and lounges available at the hotel.

37. Can I just attend the Expo? What is the cost?
  • Expo only passes are available at no cost. These passes may only be used to access the Expo Hall on Tuesday, May 1st and Wednesday, May 2nd .
