Dawn Cowled

President


Dawn Cowled has been in the Technical Sales Industry for the past 10 years.  Dawn is currently the Division Director for Robert Half Technology.  Robert Half Technology is a leading provider of IT professionals on a project and full-time basis. We specialize in initiatives ranging from web development and systems integration to network security and technical support.  Robert Half Technology has 104 offices nationwide, Dawn covers the Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine marketplace.

Dawn spearheaded the Northern New England Chapter's creation and as a result was nominated to the role of President.


Roy Atkinson

VP of Membership


As lead technical support specialist for the world’s largest mammalian genetic research facility, Roy Atkinson’s responsibilities include managing a staff of 8 technical support specialists, providing internal training, maintaining IT self-help pages on the institution’s intranet, and composing announcements for the employee bulletin about current IT initiatives and procedures. Roy has previously served as the Northeast Regional Liaison for Apple User Groups. He has an extensive background in computer support, as well as a 21 year career in the music industry.

Roy is an HDI Certified Support Center Manager (SCM) and is ITIL Foundations Certified. He is the current VP of membership for the new Northern New England Chapter of HDI, and a member of the HDI 2008 Conference Faculty.

 

 


Reed Parker

VP of Communications


Reed Parker, is the IT Services Manager for the Bank Services Group, a division of People's United Bank - NE.  A banking and financial services company, People's United Bank - NE is part of People's United Financial of Bridgeport CT which operates seven New England based banks as well as Payroll, Insurance, Credit Card, Merchant Services, Wealth Management and Retirement Services companies. Reed is currently responsible for a team of 20 technology professionals providing help desk, PC desktop and application support to 2300 employees in 130 locations. Additionally, Reed is extensively involved in bank acquisition projects, technology assessment and improvement initiatives and software license and vendor management. 
 
Reed is Vice President - Communications for the Northern New England chapter of HDI. He holds a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Vermont and has 24 years of IT service management and software development experience.

VP of Programs

We are looking for an energetic, motivated, self-starter for this position. This position consists of organizing and coordinating all aspects of our chapter programs. This position works closely with the VP of Vendor Relations. If you are interested please contact Dawn Cowled. All candidates will be interviewed by the Board.


Karen Martus

VP of Finance


Karen Martus has over 20 years of Help Desk, Customer Service, and Production Support Management experience.  Karen works for Fidelity Investments as a Senior manager of Production Support maintaining their applications environment.  Fidelity Investments, a global leader, is an international provider of financial services and investment resources that help individuals and institutes meet their financial objectives.

Karen is in the process of re-engineering Fidelity Investments' Fixed Income technology operations with a focus on increasing systems stability while providing a very demanding customer base with improved services and support.

Karen holds a Bachelor's degree of Computer Science and is Security + Certified.  Karen is the appointed VP of Finance Officer of the Northern New England Chapter of HDI.

VP of Vendor Relations

 

We are looking for an energetic, motivated, self-starter for this position. This position consists of recruiting vendors for sponsorship of our meetings and events, soliciting for funds, organizing vendor participation, and maintaining positive vendor relationships. Deirdre Rogusky

Webmaster


Deirdre Rogusky is the Client Services Manager for PC Connection, Inc.  She is currently responsible for a team that provides centralized customer service to all employees, manages the data center and all operational duties, schedules video conferences/bridge calls, and maintains the technical inventory.  PC Connection, Inc., through its subsidiaries, is a leading information technology (IT) solutions provider to businesses, governments, educational institutions, and consumers. Deirdre is the Webmaster for the Northern New England Chapter of HDI.  She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from Quinnipiac University, an M.B.A. and an M.S. in Organizational Leadership from Southern New Hampshire University.  Deirdre has over 15 years of experience working in the Information Technology field including programming, systems analysis, database analysis and design, project management and operations.
