2018 Manager of the Year Award Winner
Brittany Muxlow, Cerner Corporation
Brittany Muxlow started her career at Cerner Corporation in 2012 as a Level 1 Support Analyst over Cerner's Electronic Health Record solution, PowerChart. She advanced very quickly and was promoted to Team Lead after 12 months of support experience. Brittany has remained in support since starting at Cerner, and has spent the past four years growing her career in leadership and gaining experience in managing both L1 and L2 application support teams within our organization.
Brittany currently has oversight of four Millennium Service Desk teams within our Application Services organization. The Millennium Service Desk functions as the “front door” to clients with Cerner's Application Management Service, operating 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Those who have had the opportunity to work with Brittany will tell you she is one of the most committed and passionate leaders we have in our organization. She is highly effective in her work and is well respected across our leadership and analyst population. Her incredible great work ethic and enthusiasm for support is contagious to those around her. She truly embodies what it takes to be leader in a support organization which is why she is being nominated for the HDI’s Manager of the Year award.

A true leader has the confidence to stand alone, the courage to make tough decisions, and the compassion to listen to the needs of others. They might not set out to be a leader, but they become one by the quality of their actions and the integrity of their intent.
The Manager of the Year Award acknowledges and honors a service and support manager who has excelled at supporting any or all IT services within their organization. Through this award program, HDI seeks to recognize prominent professionals who most clearly demonstrate the ability to serve and advance information technology within their industry. The Manager of the Year Award winner is announced each year at the HDI Annual Conference & Expo.
Nominations for the award must be submitted by October 31.
