LAS VEGAS, NEV. – June 19, 2007 - HDI® (http://www.thinkhdi.com), the world's largest membership association for help desk, IT service and support professionals and the premier certification body for the industry has announced the 2007 winner of the Global Help Desk Analyst of the Year Award, Bimpe Oyelese, who works at the World Bank as a contractor for CIBER, Inc.

This annual award, sponsored by Robert Half Technology, recognizes the best help desk analysts from around the world. Each HDI local chapter is invited to select a winner to compete at the regional level. Ms. Oyelese was selected to represent the Capital Area Local Chapter. HDI Regional Analysts of the Year are then invited to compete for the HDI Global Analyst of the Year Award. Bimpe Oyelese was presented with her award at the recent HDI Annual Conference & Expo (http://www.thinkhdi.com/hdi2007).

The award highlights the excellent work of analysts on the help desk’s front line – those who are generally a customer’s first point of contact, either via phone or the web. Nominees, who must be HDI members, are judged on criteria such as performance, quality of work, team orientation, ethics, technical aptitude, problem solving skills and leadership.

"It was a great honor accepting this award on behalf of all the analysts that provide excellent service every single day during every single contact with clients," said Bimpe. "This was truly for each and every one of the analysts at the Global Support Center of the World Bank as they face challenges head on, and for my co-finalists, an exceptional team of dedicated support professionals. I am privileged to belong to this family of support professionals that recognize and reward hard work, and I am humbled by the love and support of the HDI, CIBER and the World Bank family."

“The award recognizes the outstanding job of an individual on the front lines of our profession,” said Ron Muns, founder and CEO of HDI. “Bimpe has consistently performed an excellent job, and we are honored to recognize her as a leader and role model for the industry.”

Since joining the CIBER team in 2004, Bimpe has consistently performed at a high level in support of the World Bank. Her contribution to the success of the Global Support Center through experience, knowledge and commitment to customer service has been extraordinary. Bimpe is an extremely valuable member of our team who continues to demonstrate leadership by example. It is great to see HDI recognize and reward her excellence, which continues to be appreciated by both the Bank and CIBER," said William Price, CIBER program manager for the World Bank Group.

“Bimpe has done an outstanding job year after year for our team, taking a leadership role to advance the work of ITIL, offering weekly Business Warehouse coaching sessions and mentoring new recruits. Her support work at the Global Support Center is exceptional. Feedback and surveys of her work speak a tale of a highly respected and appreciated professional who spares no efforts or time to sort out and resolve the most complex question with ease and a smile. Bimpe truly deserves this award and the entire SAP/IRIS/BW/eConsult team which cheered her during this competition is so proud of her,” said Jean Claude Lissouck, support manager for the SAP Team at the Global Support Center at the World Bank.

“We are happy to bring recognition to the often-overlooked, yet critical, role of the help desk analyst,” stated Katherine Spencer Lee, executive director of Robert Half Technology. “We congratulate Bimpe on her hard work. She serves as a model for the profession.”
