2018 Local Chapter Officer of the Year Award Finalist

Shannon Mejia, HDI Dallas Fort Worth Local Chapter

Siobhan Tate

Shannon is a fantastic officer that pushes us to be great in everything that we do. She is always available to help or give advice about how to solve a problem. She cares about what we do as an organization and won't let the team settle for less than our best. She has been a strong voice for the officers as they transitioned to a new president that had very little experience in running a chapter. Her addition to the team has helped to keep us on the straight and narrow path and we could not survive without her help. Shannon is organized, driven, and someone that I look to when the chapter needs to get something done.

Shannon has been highly involved with HDI for over 10 years, serving on the Leadership Council before becoming an officer for the past 4 years. Shannon attributes many of her successes in her career to HDI and has made wonderful friendships and work-related connections.
